Bill Wavrin was formerly the executive chef of the award-winning spa Miraval Resort. He also spent 11 years as Executive Chef of Rancho La Puerta in Mexico, which was voted one of the world´s finest and most prestigious spas, and No. 1 in spa cuisine, by Conde Nast Traveller. He has also directed cuisine at the Golden Door Spa in California and the Club Mediterranean Resort in Sonora, Mexico, and for several years consulted with Cunard Cruise Lines.
Wavrin has been much celebrated as one of the world´s best spa chefs. He has been featured on the Discovery Channel and A&E´s "Great Spas of the World" as well as having been on the Today Show, The Morning Show, Good Morning America, and the Food Network. He was the first Spa Chef to be featured in Gourmet Magazine, taking up 12 pages in 1997. He is a returning guest chef teaching at the prestigious Dreager´s and Andronico´s in the San Fransisco Bay Area. For the fifth year in a row, Wavrin has been invited, along with fourteen world class chefs from around the globe, to participate in the esteemed Sagebrush Classic. He is a contributing editor to both Chile Pepper and Gourmet magazines, and has been published in over 30 publications.
