Rob Feenie was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and he has loved to spend time in the kitchen since he was a child. At twenty, he attended the Dubrulle International Culinary and Hotel Institute of Canada in Vancouver. He became a sous-chef at The Rim Rock Café in and Oyster Bar in Whistler, British Columbia, then went on to Vancouver's Cherrystone Cove and Le Crocodile. After cooking with chefs Emile Jung, Antoine Westermann, Charlie Trotter, Daniel Boulud, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Feenie returned to Vancouver to open his own restaurant.
